TRANSDEMO

Demographic change - the change in the age distribution in society and new migration patterns - provides spaces and regions, companies and their employees with new challenges. Research has adopted the issue in a variety of projects and publications. In the area of job design, this relates generally to the operational level. According to a lack of proper approach to implementation, with particular reference to SMEs, in the context of regional support structures, as they are influential.

The project TRANSDEMO is a transition management (moderated collective, iterative and learning process for change) developed and tested as a regional governance approach (regional self-control, to complement the control mechanisms and market State) for a systemic approach to innovation (simultaneous change of technical, social, regulatory and cultural regimes) in the management of demographic change in companies.

TRANSDEMO picks up the "local challenges" and involves the relevant actors and institutions in the region from the beginning of the design process. Demographic change is designed in the region by the regional innovative capacity through new concepts of corporate and work organization, as well as the consideration of changing employment histories will increase. Corresponding demographic-based instruments are designed for a continuous (re) learning at the level of employees, companies and regional networks, tested, implemented and evaluated. Areas outside the working environment are included to achieve synergetic effects through enhanced coordination with sectors such as education, housing, care, sports and health.

The TRANSDEMO project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (reference number: 01HH11076-78).
